Shipping Process

Step 1

Plan Your Shipment

Ensure a smooth shipping process by carefully planning your shipment in advance. Take into account potential travel delays caused by factors such as adverse weather conditions or road disruptions.

Step 2

Gather Accurate Measurements

Obtain precise measurements of your shipment, including its weight and dimensions. When in doubt, it’s better to round up to ensure accuracy and avoid additional costs.

Step 3

Verify Addresses & Postal Codes

Use an address verification tool to ensure the correct delivery address. Although rates are generated from postal code to postal code or city to city, if the wrong address is entered it could result in a redelivery fee.

Step 4

Consider Additional Services

Determine if you require any additional services at pickup and delivery, such as power tailgate or special handling or if your shipment is time sensitive.

Step 5

Choose Appropriate Packaging

The right packaging materials can significantly impact the safety of your shipment. Use materials such as the right size box, proper insulation materials, and secure tape to avoid damages and potential claims. If you’re shipping a pallet, make sure the pallet itself is not damaged and that your pallets are packaged sufficiently.

Step 6

Take Pre-Shipment Photos

In the event of a claim, pre-shipment photos will accurately depict the condition in which your product left the facility prior to shipping. This will significantly help streamline the process should any issues occur.

Step 7

Apply Shipping Labels

Clearly label your packages to ensure efficient handling and delivery. If possible, apply the label to the largest and flattest side of the parcel.

Step 8

Understand Customs Requirements

Familiarize yourself with the customs regulations and requirements when shipping cross-border to avoid any potential issues or delays.

Step 9

Consider Additional Insurance

Evaluate the need for insurance coverage to protect your shipment against potential loss, damage, or theft.

Step 10

Customer Support

Ensure a smooth shipping process by carefully planning your shipment in advance. Take into account potential travel delays caused by factors such as adverse weather conditions or road disruptions.
